Synopsis: Raj and Abha, a couple in their early-thirties, move into their new 2-bedroom flat in a Mumbai suburb. Since the flat is in a residential complex away from the bustle of the city and the main road, they both expect peace and quiet.
Raj is an aggressive sub-broker in a prosperous broking firm where he is considered a star. Abha is a marketing professional who is doing well in her job. They have no children. Their promising careers now seem to be nicely complemented by domestic stability. However, Raj is disturbed by strange screechy noises in the nights. They wake him several times in the nights (Abha is undisturbed though). Finally one night, Raj goes down to investigate and discovers that it is the night watchman blowing the whistle periodically in the night to scare thieves away. The night watchman - Matthew, refers Raj to Janardhan, the new secretary of the building society, who has passed these orders to enhance security. Raj appeals to Janardhan the next day, but meets a brick wall. Janardhan refuses to stop the whistling, as according to him the safety of the community is much more important than the comfort of one individual. Meetings are called, Watchman is bribed, threatened, pleaded but to no avail. The loud noise continues to disturb Raj, so his problem also continues.
Things get worse and much worse. Lives are significantly realigned at the end despite the innocuous beginnings.

The Last Lear

Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal, Shefali Shah, Jishu Sengupta, Divya Dutta
Director: Rituparno Ghosh
Producer: Planman Motion Pictures
Cinematography: Abhik Mukherjee
Editing: Arghyakamal Mitra
Screenplay: Anjana Basu, Rituparno Ghosh

Synopsis: Harry - 65. Recluse, Eccentric. Passionate. Besides being a Shakespearean stage actor and an ardent fan of The Master, his life seems like a play after he meets Siddharth. A play replete with action, drama, love, emotions, tension - and an expected friendship. Siddharth is a new-age film director - his cool clothes and casual persona well disguise his eccentricities. He is a visionary, a visionary who would stop at nothing to get what he wants. As opposites attract, may be likeminded people get along well too. How else would one explain the fast blossoming friendship between these two eccentrically creative minds? When the cinema-ignorant Harry is offered a magnificent role in Siddharths' next film, he is apprehensive at first, reluctant later and finally acceptable to the idea.
As the shoot takes them to the sprawling mountainous landscapes of India, new relationships bloom. Upcoming actor Shabnam, who is struggling hard to cope with her messy personal life, finds an unexpected mentor in Harry. He teaches her more than merely the nuances of acting.
From being a complete outsider to the world of commercial cinema, Harry soon becomes one of them - open to learning new methods of working, chatting with the unit members and sipping tea from a fancy thermos he never knew was invented, he is enjoying!
Little does he know that as the film rolls and he gets into the skin of the character of the Joker that he is playing, he may be taking his role a bit too seriously. Is he that good an actor, or is Fate really making him out to be a Joker on the set? As the intense moments unfold, which are even more engaging that the film itself, masks would be taken off a few faces. Towards the sunset of his life, long after the last shot is taken, as his memory fades, all that Harry can remember are his
Masters words..

"..I am doubtful as I am mainly ignorant,
What place is this, And the skill I have
Remembers not these garments, nor I know not
Where did I lodge last night,
Do not laugh at me..."

Director: Neeraj Pandey
Producer: Anjum Rizvi, Shital Bhatia
Editing: Shree Narayan Singh
Screenplay: Neeraj Pandey

Prakash Rathod, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai (played by Mr Anupam Kher) gets a call demanding the release of four militants in lieu of information on bombs that the man has planted in various parts of the city. At first, Prakash suspects it to be a crank call but his doubts are dispelled once he actually finds a bomb planted in the police station right opposite his Police Headquarters.
Now Prakash Rathod is in a real dilemma. Should he release the militants? Militants who have been caught at the cost of lives of police officers in the first place? Militants who are responsible for unaccountable damage to civilian lives and property? Militants who will cause further damage in the coming years, if let go scott free? Or should he just think of all the innocent people who will die today if he decides not to let them go?
Prakash Rathod is not a man who would give up so easily. He gets a team of his best men together and taps all his resources - he was going to leave no stone unturned in his mission to track down the man. He even hires a 17 year old hacker to help his team trace the calls and hence the location of this man.
Meanwhile, he comes across Naina Roy, a wannabe-something news channel reporter (played by Ms Deepal Shaw) who also has been tipped off by an anonymous caller. Time passes without any concrete results on the identity of the caller. As a backup plan, he puts two of his best men, Arif and Jai (played by Jimmy Sheirgill and Amir Bashir respectively) to hand over the four militants. It is then that events take a bizarre turn.
Suddenly, everything becomes a huge question mark. Who is this man? What is his identity? What are his intentions and what is the motive behind them? The caller (played by Mr Naseeruddin Shah) then reveals his true identity and answers these questions, raising some more in the process...
